An illusion is a sensory perception that deceives. It’s a false or misleading impression of something that results in the misinterpretation of its actual nature; and in 2024 orthodox science is easily deceived and misled by the illusion of matter.

The world today
In the Age of Belief people assumed that inanimate physical substance required a mysterious nonmaterial essence to infuse it with life. But in the Age of Science that belief was debunked on April 25, 1953 when James Watson and Francis Crick published their one-page paper ‘Molecular Structure of Nucleic Acids’ introducing the world to DNA – the secret of life – and the chemical evidence that proved your life was strictly biological.
Their discovery of DNA’s double-helix structure solved the enigma of what makes things alive. DNA and its bases—guanine, adenine, thymine and cytosine—by pairing up to hold together two twisting strands of molecules that replicate do the trick. Science topped belief.
The next step was to make the belief orthodoxy and Francis Crick in his book The Astonishing Hypothesis got the ball rolling: ‘You’re nothing but a pack of neurons.’
He and his workmates examined the brain and concluded that there isn’t a central self in there. They decided: You don’t exist so you don’t do anything and your thought ‘I exist’ is an illusion.

He had another big idea: meme theory aka memetics. It’s a concept that attempts to explain how cultural information spreads and evolves. He uses it to describe behaviors, or styles that spread within a culture through imitation, similar to how genes propagate biological traits.
Your capacity to think and reason and learn language and communicate baffles the biologist. It’s an exclusive human behavior and Richard Dawkins is certain you’re just a society of memes.
British writer, Susan Blackmore, thinks so too. She describes you as a meme machine. She says your brain is just a copying device for memes. You’re just a survival machine with a brain. There’s no such thing as the self, no ghost in the machine. Self is just an effect of the machine. The platitudes and sophistries of orthodox thinking are all her soul can assimilate and comprehend.

Consciousness

Consciousness is commonly defined as involving some level of awareness, or subjective experience and in 2024 it’s always viewed as a brain phenomenon. Somehow humans ended up with a conscious brain.
So modern neuroscience has the dilemma of explaining how matter produces consciousness even though Galileo claimed that consciousness was outside the physical world, and therefore outside the domain of orthodox science.
You know from personal experience that your consciousness has a highly developed subjective sense of self and self-awareness aka self-consciousness and in 2024 materialistic neuroscience reckons it emerges from a three-pound physical organ that you call your brain.

It believes that trying to understand and speculate on the nature of consciousness without a fairly deep understanding of biology and neuroscience is a futile undertaking. And that’s a Neptune illusion.
Materialistic neuroscience reckons that the idea of consciousness existing ‘out there’ as an undiscovered fundamental property of the universe, independent of the physical brain, just requiring a brain to receive and transmit it—like a radio in relation to radio waves – is utterly incompatible with what is actually known.
It believes that the nature of consciousness can only be understood as electrochemical phenomenon that involves an evolving brain.
Some clever folk claim that consciousness is identical to a certain kind of information, the realization of which requires physical, not merely functional, integration, and which can be measured mathematically according to the phi metric. So, consciousness can be measured.
The Integrated Information Theory (IIT) of consciousness can only be understood by neuroscientists who take the neuroscientific descriptions of the brain aka neurons firing as the starting point for understanding what must be true of a physical system in order for it to become conscious.
It theorizes that consciousness is related to how much information is integrated among the different parts of the brain.
Because IIT identifies the subjective experience of consciousness with objectively measurable dynamics of a system, the degree of consciousness of a system is measurable in principle. IIT proposes the phi metric to quantify consciousness.
Once again modern neuroscience is being deceived by the illusion of matter aka a physical system.
Hermetic science teaches that a non-physical soul driven by the desire to acquire and develop intelligence and ability aka consciousness through experience attaches itself to a physical form by the psychokinetic power of its thoughts and streams subjective thoughts and feelings to objective awareness utilizing electromagnetic energy generated by the form’s brain cells.
It teaches that your consciousness – the consciousness of the thinker – is aware of sense impressions and thoughts, feelings and impulses that obtain objective consciousness. So, when neuroscience talks about measuring consciousness (which is always changing) you have to conclude that it’s measuring objective consciousness aka the brain’s neural activity and not an individual’s greater soul-consciousness. It’s always presumed that when neurons fire the brain is thinking and that’s another dangerous illusion that’s shaping the world.
Charles Darwin’s Neo-Darwinists
Neo-Darwinism is just Charles Darwin with genes.
He proposed a theory of evolution by natural selection that describes a mechanism for how species change over time and observed that humans and the higher mammals ‘have the same senses, intuitions and sensations, and similar passions, affections and emotions.’
He noted that ‘they even (have) the more complex ones, such as jealousy, suspicion, gratitude and magnanimity.’ And that ‘they practice deceit, and are revengeful, feel wonder and curiosity, and even have a sense of humor.’ And ‘they possess the same faculties of imitation, memory, imagination and reason, though in very different degrees. The individuals of the same species graduate in intellect from absolute imbecility to high excellence.’
So, according to Darwin the higher mammals learn and acquire mental and emotional behaviors and Elbert Benjamine proposed that these characteristics and traits were permanently stored in the thought-structures of their minds aka souls – not the chemicals and genetic structures of their form’s physical cells.
In 2024 the orthodox Neo-Darwinist, ignorant of your soul and its evolutionary journey by which it acquires intelligence and ability through experience that’s saved and organized in its thought-cell structures, reckons that your traits and characteristics are the result of an accidentally acquired genetic code. Orthodoxy’s dangerous illusions imperil humanity
Saturn’s orthodoxy will have you believe that you’re a gene machine with a meme brain and a nervous system that creates consciousness and it’s all a Neptune illusion.

Genes exist but their functional performance is controlled by not-conscious thought-cell activity and memes exist, but not in your brain. They exist as thought-cell groups in your not-conscious soul-mind.
The claim that you and the cosmos are just machines and that there’s no creator, no great plan and your mind is something that’s been thrown off by the mechanistic processes that make up the universe is just another orthodox illusion that imperils humanity.
