March 13: Europe is now the ‘epicenter’ of the global coronavirus pandemic; 138,00o people worldwide have been infected; countries are closing their borders and taking aggressive measures to save lives; and America, Bulgaria and the Czech Republic declare states of emergency.

The worst storms (Saturn) in decades hit Egypt on March 12 and 13 with heavy rains and strong winds killing 21 people.

March 14: The Covid-19 pandemic (Saturn) escalates (Mars); 153,025 people have been infected across the world; 5,788 have died; Iran has 1,365 new confirmed cases and 97 more deaths and its leaders have botched (Saturn) the country’s response to the virus.

March 15: Italy, France and Spain record their highest one day death tolls from Covid-19; countries around the globe are taking drastic emergency measures (Mars-Pluto) imposing lockdowns, closures, bans and restrictions

March 21: The number of confirmed covid-19 cases worldwide tops 300,000; the death toll across Europe and Iran surges; America has 19,000 cases with 270 deaths; and around the globe people are told to ‘keep your distance’.

March 22: A 5.3-magnitude earthquake (Saturn) – the largest in 140 years – rocks Croatia’s capital Zagreb damaging buildings and care.

March 26: Economies crumble as the coronavirus wrecks havoc; it has now spread to 175 countries and claimed more than 23,000 lives; there are more than 510,00 cases worldwide; America is top of the leader board.

March 28: 615,000 people are now infected by covid-19 and 28,316 have died; the pandemic across Europe gets worse; in Italy the  death toll surges past 10,000 and retired doctors (Mars) are returning to work; Spain announces stricter lockdown measures (Pluto); the European Union squabbles (Mars) over how best to cushion the economic hit of the covid pandemic; the economic pain (Saturn) is horrendous; the US death toll hits 2,000; the spread of the coronavirus in US jails and prisons (house 12) accelerates.

March 30: As the Mars-Saturn in-sky conjunction approaches peak power the coronavirus pandemic accelerates; the number of covid-cases rises by the minute but the count today is 777,286 with 37,140 deaths; the death toll in America climbs to 3,000; more states and cities issue stay at home orders (Pluto); in New York the queues of people waiting to be tested for covid-19 are getting longer; the health crisis there started with one infected carrier; the number of cases in New Orleans surges; in Italy the virus is heading south; megacity Lagos is preparing to go into lockdown; hospital admissions in the UK accelerate by 1,000 a day; Turkey is set to become the next epicenter; the Ahoy concert hall in Rotterdam is being turned into an emergency hospital; police in India fire tear gas at jobless workers defying the coronavirus lockdown; Jair Bolsonaro and Emperor Nero have a lot in common; some community leaders are displaying staggering levels of ignorance; signs that the epidemic is slowing in some regions are false; the idea of easing lockdowns is very dangerous; Angela Merkyl tests negative and is working from home; USA Rugby files for Chapter 11 bankruptcy (Saturn); the true situation in China, Russia and North Korea is difficult to assess (so don’t believe the reports coming out of these countries); and Taiwan has successful stemmed the spread of coronavirus without resorting to draconian measures.

March 31: Eighteen firefighters (Mars) and their guide die battling a forest fire (Mars) in China’s Sichuan province.

April 1: Each country is fighting a covid-war – some more successfully than others; the worldwide death toll rises to 47,245; there are 936,045 confirmed cases; in America the epidemic is accelerating fast; the death toll surges past 4,000; in Britain it rises to 2,352; more countries and states issue stay at home orders; the cruise-ship industry is in dire straits and looks like becoming a victim of covid-19; there’s mounting evidence that church services (Jupiter) and prayer meetings (Jupiter) led to coronavirus clusters and scores of deaths; China starts reporting asymptomatic cases of coronavirus and the numbers start to rise; more prisoners are being released; 19,517 people are arrested in the Dominican Republic for breaking curfew; in America the security for Dr. Anthony Fucci is significantly increased following death threats; and Wimbledon is scrapped.

April 2: The number of worldwide coronavirus cases tops one million with over 52,000 deaths.

April 5: Covid-19 has claimed over 64,000 lives; in the UK the death toll rises by 621 to 4,934; in New York it jumps to 4,159; in Turkey it reaches 574 with 27,069 cases; in Spain the rate of new infections and deaths slows; Ethiopia reports its first covid death; South Sudan reports its first case; in Albania the number of new cases surges; China reports 39 new cases; in Ecuador the morgues (house 8) are full; Greece quarantines a second migrant facility on its mainland; Malta puts 1,000 African migrants under mandatory quarantine (Pluto-house 12); Singapore quarantines 20,000 migrant workers; covid-19 has put about 20 million jobs at risk in Africa; spring weather in Britain has citizens flouting stay at home rules; Boris Johnson is hospitalized; its Palm Sunday and some churches (Jupiter) hold large services; and sports commentators have nothing to report.

April 6: With winds as high as 235 kilometers an hour (146 mph) cyclone Harold (Saturn) slams into Sana province, Vanuatu, ripping off roofs and downing telecommunications. 

April 8: America and Britain record their highest number of coronavirus deaths in a single day; and the total number of confirmed covid-cases in America exceeds 395,011.

April 9: The confirmed number of coronavirus cases worldwide surpasses 1.5 million; infections are reported in 212 countries and territories; around 91,700 people have died from the virus; and more than 450,000 Americans have tested positive.

After hitting Fiji on Wednesday cyclone Harold (Saturn) slams into Tonga.

April 10: Coronavirus case-numbers top 1.6 million and the death toll hits 100,000; there were almost 7,3000 deaths globally on April 9; it took 83 days for the first 50,000 deaths the be reached and 8 days for the toll to reach 100,000.

The Democratic Republic of the Congo reports the first case of Ebola (Mars) since February. The outbreak (Saturn) has killed more than 2,200 since August 2018. 

April 12: More than 1.7 million people have been infected by covid-19 globally and 108,252 have died.

The Southeastern United States is hit by a tornado outbreak (Saturn) with Mississippi declaring a tornado emergency. At least 30 people have been killed.

UN Health Agencies warn that more than 117 million children could miss out on immunization against measles as the COVID-19 pandemic forces social distancing and piles pressure on health services.

Fiji declares a natural disaster (Saturn) in areas affected by cyclone Harold.

April 14: More than 1.92 million people have been reported to be infected by the novel coronavirus globally and 120,670 have died.

April 15: The global covid-19 case count surpasses 2 million and more than 131,000 have died.

April 16: The global covid-19 case count climbs to 2.07 million.

April 18: The covid case and death counts keep rising; 154,613 people have died from coronavirus; the US death toll tops 35,400.
