Check the sign location of each planet, ascendant and Midheaven and then group them according to their degree of emanation.
Planets in Aries, Taurus, Gemini and Cancer are in the first degree of emanation; planets in Leo, Virgo, Libra and Scorpio are in the second degree of emanation; and planets in Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces are in the third degree of emanation.
Your assessment will reveal the influence of each degree of emanation. There may be one with many planets located in it that makes it outstanding or two can have an equal number of planets indicating a blending of what’s indicated. Whatever, your assessment should determine a definite chart bias in regard to the expression of your inner nature.
If the first degree of emanation is outstanding or influential you will express your inner nature freely. Your stimulating motive is largely internal coming from your own ideas and desires. You act on your own feelings and inner yearnings and do what you think should be done. You’re not interested in what other people think or public opinion and rarely take the advice or counsel of others.
If the second degree of emanation is outstanding or influential you will temper the expression of your inner nature by modifying your feelings, ideas and inner yearnings to accommodate what other people feel, think and advise. You’re naturally inclined to consider the advice and suggestions of family and friends and tend to move with the tide of the prevailing public opinion.
If the third degree of emanation is outstanding or influential you express your inner nature with reservation. Your stimulating motive comes from the thoughts and ideas of others. You’re naturally inclined to do what your friends and family advise and suggest should be done and move with the tide of public opinion.
