Chart data analysis: Will you fight or flee?

When you were born you knew nothing. You knew nothing about yourself or the kind of life you would live, but your birth chart, constructed for your time, date and place of birth, did. It knew all about you.

Evolutionary experience is crucial for the development of intelligence and ability and your soul had saved in memory the fruits of its experience some of which involved fight or flight; and your birth chart provides a reliable synopsis of your character and life as it had been built by experience up to the time of your birth.

It reveals you have a fight and flight-life backstory.

Your fight-life is depicted by Mars. It maps your aggressive urge and its astrodyne power reveals the relative strength of your desire to attack opponents and enemies; and its harmony or discord aka functional status reveals if you felt pleasure or pain when you went on the attack.

Your flight-life is depicted by Saturn. It maps your safety urge and its astrodyne power reveals the relative strength of your desire to seek security by fleeing from enemies; and its harmony or discord reveals if you felt pleasure or pain when you took flight and fled.

After your birth your character, including your aggressive and security urges, expressed in an environmental setting that oversaw its conditioning.

Your character, as mapped in your birth chart, was shaped and trained by your local environment and though experience you developed unique fight and flight behavior patterns.

That said, your aggressive and security urges have biological, hormonal equivalents – adrenalin and cortisol – and in a fight situation your soul instructs your adrenal glands to pump adrenalin and cortisol into your bloodstream.

And it’s the amount of cortisol circulating in your blood which chiefly determines if you will fight or flee from an enemy. If there’s more adrenalin than cortisol you won’t feel fear and will fight. If there’s more cortisol you will feel fear and flee.

So, in response to a fight (Mars) or flee (Saturn) emergency your behavior is scripted by previous experience, your conditioning by environment and your hormonal response triggered by your aggressive thought-cell activity. And your conditioned response automatically kicks in whenever an emergency fight or flee situation arises.

You mobilize energy and move quickly. Your sense of hearing, memory and cognitive functions are all on high alert and you fight or flee.

Only you know how often fight or flee emergencies arise, but when they do you’re tapping into your precious supply of adrenalin and cortisol and if your supplies of these emergency hormones have become exhausted, you’re inclined to become indifferent to danger and do nothing – a response that can put your life and wellbeing in peril.

Adrenalin is the excitement hormone. It makes you feel alive and you can feel it watching competitive sport or an action-packed movie, but when it’s constantly circulating in your bloodstream and you’re living your life on a war-footing it not only is being wasted foolishly it depresses the function of your immune system (Moon).

In an age when fighting is associated with bravery and strength and fleeing is associated with cowardness and weakness the irrational studio audience has forgotten that the key issue is personal survival and that many human souls who instinctively fight don’t survive and many of those who flee do.

You need to know that your birth chart reveals if you’re predisposed to fight or flee. By bringing your not-conscious thought-cell activity – the precursor behavior – to your attention it puts you in the know.

Will you fight or flee? Assess Mars and Saturn

Your birth chart reveals if fighting will play an important role in your life story or not and if in a conflict situation you’re predisposed to fight or flee. It will likely confirm what you already know about yourself.

Assess Mars in your birth chart: If it’s prominent you will have an active fight-life. If it’s non-prominent or weak the regular chance of conflict is correspondingly reduced.

If Mars is harmonious, you’re inclined to feel the joy of winning in a fight situation but if it’s discordant you’re inclined to suffer loss and defeat.

Assess Saturn in your birth chart: If it’s prominent safety is a key personal issue and you’re inclined to flee. If it’s non-prominent or weak safety is not an important issue.

If Saturn is harmonious your efforts to feel safe incline towards success but if it’s discordant they incline towards failure and loss.

Is your 21st century daily living an emergency?

The Aquarian Age internet will tell you that your adrenal glands are responsible for producing adrenalin and cortisol – essential hormones that regulate various bodily functions, including stress response, metabolism and blood pressure.

Adrenalin is the emergency hormone. It prepares your body to cope with a stressful emergency. Your liver discharges stored sugar energy, your digestion ceases, your blood pressure and heart rate skyrocket and the blood lakes of your liver and spleen squeeze blood into your bloodstream. And only you know if your daily live is a stressful emergency situation.

Anger, anxiety, irritation, fear and worry are emergency emotions that are felt in emergency situations and when you feel these emotions and hit the rage or panic buttons adrenalin pours into your blood stream.

In the 21st century just getting through the day can be an emergency situation that places a severe strain on your adrenal glands.

Conflict, pressure, long hours of hard work, vigorous sporting activity, emotional excitement, severe physical pain, heat and cold are all emergencies.

Your panic button might be an impossible deadline, a loss of control, a lack of skill, severe pain or the inability to cope.

Not getting enough sleep will see you calling on your adrenalin just to get you going and reports say there’s an epidemic of tiredness which is a sure sign that adrenal gland exhaustion is widespread.

Only you know your level of stress and whether you’re dealing with it successfully or not and, that said, you can take action to ensure that your adrenal glands are functioning properly by providing them with the nutrients in your diet that are essential for the manufacture of adrenalin and cortin.

To have a good life you need to feel on top of all the emergencies that your environment serves up. You need to get your day-to-day living under control and when there’s a prolonged emergency you need to manage it as best you can and prevent adrenal gland exhaustion by eating foods that comprise the adrenal gland diet.

The adrenal gland diet

Its focus is on eating foods that provide a good variety of minerals, vitamins and proteins and an abundance of vitamin A, vitamin C and the protein L-tyrosine.

These nutrients are essential for the manufacture of adrenalin and cortisol and when you’re under prolonged stress you should eat foods containing them regularly.

In each instance certain foods because they contain an abundance of the nutrient can be classified as superfoods.

Specialist websites provide food lists indicating the best food sources of each nutrient and based on birth chart data and your current stress level you should incorporate foods that define the adrenal gland diet into your daily diet and eat them regularly.

Vitamin C is required to maintain adequate cortin production and it’s very fragile and easily destroyed. Oranges, mandarins and grapefruit are excellent sources along with freshly juiced oranges, lemons and grapefruit. Commercially available fruit juices are not your healthiest choice.

The manufacture of adrenalin requires the protein L-tyrosine which is found in red meat, fish, chicken, eggs, soy beans, tofu, milk, yogurt and cheese. A variety of protein foods ensures you’re covering all your bases and getting an adequate supply of L-tyrosine.

It’s essential to keep on top of things because once a deficiency of a particular nutrient develops it’s very difficult to replenish, especially when your need, due to serious stress, is abnormally high.
