September 30, 2025: Donald Trump in a 72-minute speech before more than 800 of America’s top military brass (Mars) at the Marine base at Quantico, Virginia, just south of Washington, signaled that he would make greater use of the US military to quell disturbances in American cities run by radical left Democrats.

Trump told the generals that they would play a central role in subduing his political opponents within the United States and that any officer who was unwilling to do so should immediately resign.

He compared Portland to a ‘war zone’ and floated that the military should use ‘dangerous’ American cities as ‘training grounds,’ calling on Pentagon leaders to ‘handle the enemy from within … before it gets out of control.’
Trump said; ‘I told Pete (Hegseth), we should use some of these cities as training grounds for our military – National Guard, but military.’
