Jobs provide people with work. Jobs for all at good wages is desirable. People with money can buy goods and services. Jobs and work allow people to attain freedom from want. But to free them from want better equipment and increased efficiency must produce more goods or better services for each manhour of labor consumed.
Improved machinery and better management can produce more for each manhour employed. But there’s an unpardonable loss of production through people trying to do work, or engaging in a business, for which they have no talent or in which, due to the discordant organization of certain thought-cells within their astral bodies, they are unlucky through continually encountering unfortunate events.
An individual’s birth chart unerringly shows both their natural aptitudes and the environment in which they can be employed to attract fortunate events; and when their training and experience are factored in the chart indicates the kind of job or business in which they will be most efficient and content.
However, placing each individual where they will produce most will not ensure freedom from want. There must be organization (Saturn) and cooperation (Pluto) between the various production and distribution units.
Those who tune in on the all-pervading Divine Intelligence through extrasensory perception need no urging to substitute cooperation for destructive competition (Mars).
Whatever their walk of life, they sense that the whole universe is an organic whole whose welfare and progress depends on the intelligent cooperation of its infinitely varied parts.
Each soul has its own specialized function to perform in the divine economy, and should be developing the qualities which enable it to perform its special job more effectively. That is the true significance of human life.
Sensing how God handles the universe, which is eternally progressing, the individual finds it a model for human society on the Earth. So, instead of practicing cutthroat competition, countries should cooperate to build a world society in which people everywhere will have freedom from want, freedom from fear, freedom of expression and freedom of worship.
The world today
At present the nations of the world resemble, in their struggle for selfish advantages irrespective of how it affects others, pressure groups (Lower-Pluto). They’re struggling to gain or maintain selfish advantages with scant regard for the overall picture.
As yet they are unable to grasp, in a manner vivid enough to bring practical action, that all this destructive competition prevents people from gaining abundance (Jupiter), and that through cooperation nations can have a prosperity such as none have ever had before.
In recent years the world has become so interconnected that what affects one nation affects all nations and there’s no place for backward poverty-stricken nations (Saturn).
Poverty stricken people cannot buy what’s produced, and neither can poverty-stricken nations. Poverty in any section of the world restricts distribution. People must have products or services to exchange – at first perhaps turning them into money – for the products and services of others. Provided the variety is sufficient, the more that is produced and exchanged the nearer they come to freedom from want.
Among nations, when destructive competition (Mars) becomes severe enough it inevitably leads to war (Mars-house 7). And when, through the competition of other nations, a nation finds itself deprived of access to materials on which its very life depends, it goes to war.
In 2024 the United Nations is the only overall authority that has the power to rectify unbearable economic injustices affecting nations, and with sufficient peace-keeping force it can stop wars at their inception.
A look back at the end of the Stone Age reveals that the use of iron not only changed methods of warfare, but radically changed society.
Then, at a much later date, gunpowder again changed methods of warfare, political boundaries, and the economic situation of many countries.
More recently aircraft have again changed the methods of warfare and aviation with its capacity to reach any part of the world has revolutionized industry.
And now there’s atomic fission, a great new force to be used for good or evil. There’s now in existence a weapon, whose destructiveness staggers the imagination, against which constant vigil must be kept.
Cooperate or else
We are in the Pluto Period of the Aquarian Age.
Pluto not only rules imponderable forces and the inside of things – such as the energy released by atomic fission – but it works through either cooperation or coercion. Nothing the world has had in the past begins to approach the coercive power of the atomic bomb or the more powerful nuclear bomb.
The Age of Aquarius has two opposite and distinctive influences.
Its coruler is Saturn, the planet of selfishness, which prompts the destructive competition between organized groups within a nation, and the destructive competition between nations. And its ruler is Uranus, which agitates for reform and gives Aquarius the reputation of being the humanitarian sign.
Astrologically it is evident that the world has now reached an historical point where nations must cooperate or most of humanity will suffer complete destruction.
The message is crystal clear: Each individual and each nation rather than trying to grab all they can for self should strive to contribute to the welfare of all.
God’s evolving universe is a model of cooperation for individuals and nations; and here on Earth we have the object lesson recorded in the rocks that the organisms that have survived and made the best progress are those in whose cells and organs there has been division of labor, specialization of parts, and effective cooperation between those parts.
The humanitarian side of Aquarius, and the higher influence of Pluto both urge people to abandon intolerance and narrow self-interest and pull together for the common good. And the influence of Lower-Pluto in the form of the nuclear bomb says: ‘Nations will now learn to cooperate for the welfare of all or I will scourge the whole world with fire, and only a remnant of mankind will remain. There will be a new civilization built upon humanitarian principles or no civilization at all.’
But mere cooperation and the spirit of justice between nations will not bring the new Aquarian Age civilization.
The Age of Aquarius
The key-phrase of the sign Aquarius is I know.
Effective action can only be taken toward any objective when the facts are known. The suppression of facts, and the warping of facts to support the selfish interests of some group, are an inheritance from the past which must be abandoned.
Freedom of expression implies that those who wish to get political or scientific facts before the people must not be coerced or hampered. To cast their votes for those who will support beneficial governmental measures people must have free access to the facts that support, and the facts that oppose, each measure.
Newspaper chains and radio and television networks owned by those who seek special privileges must not be permitted to grow so powerful that they can keep people in ignorance by suppressing facts or influence public sentiment by distorting facts so that they can get legislation passed that discriminates against religious or racial minorities.
In the new Aquarian Age civilization there will be one measure of an individual’s worth and it won’t be their sex, race, creed or color. It will be their character, chiefly gauged by how much they actually contribute to the welfare of society.
If the propaganda of special privilege leads individuals to believe they are voting for a measure beneficial to humanity, but in reality it’s benefiting special privilege and retarding human progress, it detracts from their usefulness.
In the new civilization the facts must be made accessible to the public, and people must feel they have a responsibility to learn and act on these facts.
Such facts of a political nature will guide them to exert their influence for proper measures in national and international affairs, and those relative to the laws and processes of nature will assist them and you to live most effectively.
To live proficiently you should understand your own place in the universe.
Through observation and logic, or through the exercise of extrasensory perception, you must realize that your human life is but one stage of development for your constantly evolving soul.
You cannot live life to its fullest if you believe death ends all, or that after death you will spend eternity in a static heaven or hell.
The sooner you realize that the destiny of your soul is eternal progression, the sooner you’ll turn your energies into those channels which will enable you to be more useful, successful and happy on Earth and to live in a manner that will assist you to fit into God’s Great Progressive Plan after you have left this physical plane.
To live your physical life most effectively you must possess the facts of astrology. They allow you to select your most fruitful field of activity and to take precautionary actions under whatever progressed aspects form in your chart.
These progressed aspects deliver planetary energy of the kind indicated by the planets to their corresponding thought-cells within your finer-astral-body. And these thought-cells receiving additional energy work to attract events into your life that are fortunate or unfortunate.
If the thought-cells feel harmonious through receiving harmonious planetary energy they work from the inner-plane to attract fortunate events; but if they feel discordant through receiving discordant planetary energy, they work to attract unfortunate events which are not inevitable. By taking proper precautionary actions based on astrological knowledge you can change your thought-cell activity and make it more fortunate.
Knowledge of these facts and how to employ induced emotion and directed thinking will enable people to be more successful, more happy and more spiritual.
And with increased efficiency and better equipment they’ll produce and distribute more goods and the new Aquarian Age civilization, under humanitarian economic management, will in time achieve freedom from want.
