Fifty years after the dawning of the Age of Aquarius in 1881 Pluto – the planet of cooperation, coercion and drastic events – was discovered on February 18, 1930. It was a momentous astrological event that ushered in the Pluto period of the Sun section of the Aquarian Age and since then its drastic – never milk and water – influence has had a profound impact on the burgeoning new civilization.
The world today bears its distinct signature.
Pluto showcases groups: special interest groups, right-wing groups, left-wing groups, human rights groups, refugee rights groups, gangster groups, ransomware groups, drug gangs and singing groups.
Its group activity can be socially beneficial or detrimental: Cooperative effort that alleviates suffering and administers justice or mass murder, kidnapping and mass abductions by criminal gangs, terrorists and/or jihadist groups.
Pluto dictates and, as the leader of a group or political party, its subordinates are expected to carry out its orders or be summarily punished. It employs coercion aka compulsory cooperation to achieve its goals.
Pluto when afflicted by aspect splits a group into rival factions. It incites polarization, division and disagreement and it has fostered division between the two rulers of Aquarius: Conservative and selfish Saturn and progressive and democratic Uranus.
Humanity is divided into those who accept belief and supposition and those who want true knowledge grounded in evidence-based facts.
Events that bear the Higher Pluto and Lower Pluto signatures occur through human actors.
Higher-Pluto showcases spirituality, noble endeavor, cooperation and the team spirit that’s superior to conservative conformity and rugged individualism.
The Higher-Pluto person displays high moral standards, honesty, cooperative effort and proactive concern for the welfare of others. They diligently work for the higher good and display no discrimination, prejudice, bigotry, partisanship or intolerance.
Lower-Pluto is the planet of materialism, mass surveillance, inversion, disinformation, propaganda, coercion, threats, thuggery, intimidation, exploitation, cancel culture, erasure, dictators, despots, crime, organized crime and cybercrime.
Lower-Pluto groups spread disinformation, distort data and suppress facts in order to influence public opinion.
The Lower-Pluto person displays selfishness, vileness, duplicity, corruption and coercion. They’re motivated by self-interest, diligently work to serve themselves, and display no spirituality, decency, altruism or selfless concern for others.
Lower-Pluto is intent on destroying all spiritual ideals and substituting them with self-service through intellectual cleverness and the exertion of cruelty and brutal force.
Its goal is to suppress true wisdom so that priestly and political racketeers might dominate and exploit people in every way possible.
It’s focused on stifling the human soul’s emotional and spiritual development using fear, terror, deception and disinformation.

Pluto in house 12 concentrates its influence on secrecy: its opaque, lacking in transparency, and cunningly working behind the scenes in the shadowy darkness.
House 12 rules secret organizations, secret enemies, crime, criminals, smuggling, smugglers, crime fighting organizations, detectives, prisons, detention centers, hospitals, restriction, limitation, sorrow and disappointment.
Pluto is the cusp ruler of house 5 so it has an influence on entertainment, movies, theaters, stock market, speculation, sex, sport, games, gaming, children, teenagers and schools.
Very little is known about the function of the Pluto period birth chart. It’s assumed that significant Pluto events and developments would occur when Pluto is activated by progression and the progressed aspect’s harmony or discord would influence their nature.
The Pluto period: 1930–2025
With Pluto’s discovery came a hydra-headed monster intent on stifling, in every way possible, the wellbeing and progress of the human soul.
It first manifested in the 1930s as financial chaos – the Great Depression and years and years of unemployment and struggle – and the rise of dictators in Europe.
General Franco, Stalin, and Mussolini rose to prominence in the chaos of a depressed Europe; and Hitler, whose promise to save a starving German populace from financial chaos brought him dictatorial power.
Employing the technique of ‘the big lie’, the Nazis pioneered the inversive propaganda revolution. And in the United States drastic measures had to be taken in the forceful New Deal in order to restore economic wellbeing to a nation and a world practically wiped out by the stockmarket crash of October 1929 and the ensuing Great Depression.
In the 1930s prohibition provided fertile ground for the growth of illicit forms of supply and soon organized crime made the transition from isolated secret societies into huge, powerful, ruthless, and later nationally and internationally coordinated organizations.
The FBI (house 12) was formed in the 1930s to fight organized crime.
Since Pluto’s discovery division has become the way of the world. It’s divided into democratic-authoritarian; east-west; capitalist-communist; north-south; rich-poor; nuclear-non-nuclear; and black-white etc.
Countries, and groups within society, have been isolated (house 12). Others formed groups for mutual advantage but blockade, ostracize and persecute countries who don’t comply with their standards.
Dictatorships depend upon the ruthless rooting out and elimination of enemies for their survival. Secret police forces (house 12) have been the standard bearers of every dictatorship’s horrific message; Hitler’s Gestapo and Stalin's KGB gained particular notoriety.
In 1945 tensions between the US and USSR escalated into a Cold War. Strategic advantage depended upon knowledge of the enemy’s secrets (house 12) and espionage thrived.
The CIA was formed in the 1940s to continue covertly (house 12) what Allied military forces did overtly in World War 2. (The public has since learned it also engaged in drug dealing, assassination and political interference.)
Britain has its MI6; Australia its ASIO; and France its secret agents who were caught out bombing a Greenpeace yacht in July 1985 that was used to protest against France’s nuclear activities.
Nuclear research, such as the illegal radiation experiments conducted on uninformed citizens in the US in the 1950s, gave way to more sinister, secret biological research. (Gulf War soldiers were inoculated with serums that did not have FDA approval.)
The threat of nuclear weapons launched a new era of fear and terror. Divided into two nuclear superpower groups, the world lurched from crisis to crisis along a dangerous road of suspicion and secrecy.
In 1953 the double-helix structure of DNA was identified by James Watson and Francis Crick and atheistic materialism received scientific endorsement.
By the 1960s the doctrine of materialism was promoted by advertisers using carefully contrived images on radio and television that applied pressure on everyone to scale the ladder of material success, and by default neglect their emotional and spiritual development.
Terrorism had been around for ages but the phenomenon of contemporary global terrorism emerged around 1970 with the Baader-Meinhof Gang aka Red Army Faction in Germany.
In the 1970s terrorists perfected their tactical repertoire: assassination, bombing, kidnapping, airline hijacking, barricaded hostage situations and armed assaults.
In 1972 Palestinian terrorists took 11 Israeli athletes and coaches hostage at the Munich Olympics. It ended with the massacre of all the hostages and the death of most of the terrorists.
By the mid-1970s, airline hijacking and airline bombings worldwide were occurring at the rate of one a month.
Nearly 9,840 terrorist incidents were recorded worldwide during the 1970s, and more than 7,000 people were killed.
Terrorist attacks and kidnappings have continued in the years that followed, and remain a source of government crises.
On September 11, 2001 al-Qaeda launched a series of coordinated attacks on America resulting in nearly 3000 deaths.
In the 1980s the personal computer became a household appliance and in the early 1990s the internet became accessible to the public and Lower-Pluto was preparing to go viral.
The world of the 1990s featured mass data processing, computers, new age devices, satellite mobile phone technology, video communication, email, interactive television, the internet, online living and sport.
The leisurely days of amateur sport gave way to the pressure, intensity and fanaticism of professional football, basketball and tennis. Pluto turned the tennis match into a business deal.
Radio may have spawned recording stars but pop groups created an entirely new phenomenon: hysterical fans. Music videos supplanted vocal performances. Some idealistic musicians preached ‘peace and understanding’; others ‘megadeath’. And organized crime got involved in the gambling, sex and entertainment industries (house 5).
At different times Aquarian Age liberation movements emerged but were opposed by anti-liberation groups. Every time a group was formed to fight for social justice an opposing group emerged to block its objective.
The 1980s were the Golden Age of Gaming.
In 1994 the Sony PlayStation was launched, marking the rise of CD-ROM-based gaming; and in 2001 Xbox was launched introducing online gaming through Xbo x Live. Then came Indie Games, streaming, Minecraft, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch and the little and big kids were hooked.
In the 2000s people needed ways to talk about real life and entertainment to distract them from it. Facebookwas launched in 2004; Netflix in 2007; Instagram in October 2010; and TikTok in September 2016.
Over 2.8 billion monthly users satisfy their urge to communicate and talk on Facebook; and TicToc users add music, sound, filters and special effects to their videos.
In mid-2016 a funny stream of completely made-up stories originated from a small town in Eastern Europe. Lower-Pluto was spreading fake news and disinformation; and shortly before the 2016 US election investigators identified at least 140 fake news websites which were pulling in huge numbers on Facebook.
And just when it seemed that things couldn’t get more sinister Lower-Pluto influenced human intelligence to create artificial intelligence, a technology which could be used to prey upon the vulnerable and effectively curtail a soul’s intelligence development.
CHATGPT was launched November 22, 2022 and within days had reached over I million uses.
Unaware that they’re here to develop their intelligence and ability through experience, including their ability to think, make decisions, solve problems and reason, users had the opportunity to have a conversation with a CHATGPT and get it to do their thinking for them.
It was an unnatural, spurious development. ChatGPT felt human and for the first time, a free, publicly available AI could hold thoughtful conversations, solve problems, generate ideas, write essays, remember parts of your conversation, adjust its tone, and produce content that felt like it came from a creative mind.
Then in January 2024 Exam Solver – an AI-powered academic question solver – was launched. It assists students in solving academic problems quickly and accurately so they didn’t have to think for themselves.
In 2025 the social division within families, proliferation of disinformation, misuse of social media and artificial intelligence, incidence of sexual harassment and sex crimes, and the massive amount of hate, anger, daily violence, bigotry, xenophobia, alcohol consumption and gambling are not signs of an advanced civilized society.
In the Pluto period of the Aquarian Age very little spiritual light has penetrated the veil of shadowy darkness that Lower-Pluto has erected and from October 2023 to March 2026 progressed Sun was semisquare birth chart and progressed Pluto in the Pluto period chart > peak power dates were November 2024 and February 2025.
Lower-Pluto doesn’t have a moral conscious and in 2025 too many people engaged in or approved of its vile, atheistic, disrespectful, self-serving behavior. It’s stifling their spiritual development.
