Revolution does not imply the overthrow of the government. Even a political revolution may only indicate a fundamental change in political organization; for revolution in its broader meaning signifies a total or radical change. And within this meaning, the first two decades of the Pluto Period – from 1930 to 1950 – witnessed social, economic and political revolution throughout the whole world.
World War 2 was not the cause of the revolution, but was made possible by it.
A vast number of factors – including facilities of communication and transportation between all nations and outstanding technical advancement – made many methods and practices of the past obsolete.
The acquisition of new facts and the progress of industry so swiftly outdistanced progress in religion, social betterment, economics and politics that a mighty change was inevitable to bring these various factors into step.
Perceiving that great changes were on the way, selfish men took advantage of the inevitable trend of events in the effort to cause them to lay the world and its resources in the lap of the fascist nations over which they had gained domination.
It was the rapacity and greed of these men that turned the world revolution, already well under way, into the channels of war in 1939. And now it depends on the power of fair-minded men to override the rapacity and greed of special privilege if the world is to escape another and more devastating war.
Piscean conceptions where the social rights of people are concerned are now outmoded; the Piscean economics failed as far back as 1930.
Piscean power politics to govern the relations between nations only promises further bloody conflicts; and Piscean religion has been outmoded by demonstrated facts.
The people of the world are being taught a severe lesson which has to be learnt and understood. Its meaning is clear: All the tenets of social relations, world politics, the economic structure and religion need to be re-examined in the light of now known facts.
Many sound ideas are incorporated in the older methods but there are also many ideas which, in the light of the accessible facts of the present day, are unsound. These unsound tenets mostly are based on authority: on authority which either did not have access to now known facts, or chose to ignore them.
When a business is on the verge of bankruptcy good practice demands that an expert be called in to appraise the methods that have been employed so that the practices which have led to this deplorable state of affairs may be replaced by practices which are sound.
That is the state of the world today. It cannot be considered a safe structure.
It is confronted by various new conditions. The old Piscean methods no longer will suffice. Instead of clinging to these outmoded practices, it needs to appraise all its methods and broad conceptions; and when it finds those which known facts prove to be unsound, it should discard them.
It certainly will do no harm to analyze, in terms of modern world conditions and modern knowledge, not only political, social and economic politics, but every tenet of that which is taught as morality.
The ineffectuality’s of the Piscean Age are going to be discarded. In their stead will be the more efficient and humanitarian methods of Aquarius. The only uncertainty is how much people must suffer, and for how long, before they will accept this inevitable change.
