The Sun rules supreme. It recognizes no equal. In the Sun section of the Piscean Age (approximately 267 BC – 40 AD) the Roman Empire dominated the then known world and then it struggled incessantly to maintain its position of world dominion until…
Rome was established in 509 BC and from 264–146 BC it fought the Punic Wars against Carthage. Then in 44 BC the brilliant general and politician Julius Caesar, who many feared would declare himself king, was assassinated.
This marked the end of the Roman Republic and the start of civil wars. After years of conflict, Caesar’s adopted son Octavian (Augustus) defeated his rivals and became the first emperor of Rome. In 27 BC he was given full control by the Senate and the Roman Empire officially began. A period of peace and prosperity, known as the Pax Arona, then lasted for about 200 years.
In 64 AD the Great Fire of Rome burned much of the city and in 117, under Emperor Trajan, Rome reached its peak in territorial size. The empire stretched from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to Mesopotamia, ruling over more than 60 million people.
In 312 Emperor Constantine converted to Christianity and in 313 he legalized Christianity through the Edict of Milan and Christianity quickly grew to eventually become the dominant religion of the empire.
In 410, in a major shock to the Roman world, Rome was captured, sacked and looted for the first time in 800 years by the Visigoths. It symbolized the weakening of Roman power.
In 476, the last Western Roman emperor, Romulus Augustulus, was overthrown by Odoacer, a Germanic leader: an event that is traditionally seen as the fall of the Western Roman Empire.
However, the Eastern Roman Empire, aka the Byzantine Empire, continued to thrive for nearly another 1,000 years and the final chapter of the Byzantine Empire and the last remnant of Rome’s glory came in 1453 when the Ottoman Turks captured Constantinople.
Time unrelentingly marched on – the world changed – and in 1881, when the Sun section of the Aquarian Age started, Germany was determined to play the same role in this age as Rome played in the last one.
It and other authoritarian regimes – Italy and Japan – were intent on world domination but after much bloodshed they were eventually defeated by the forces fighting for freedom and democracy.
After the destruction caused by the Second World War, the United States, Great Britain, and the Soviet Union were the world’s strongest remaining countries and in 1945 after fighting two world wars simultaneously on four continents and in every ocean the US became The Superpower of the Aquarian Age.
Aquarius is all about freedom. People must have freedom of expression and freedom of religion; and to reach their full potential they must have freedom from want and the opportunity to develop their natural talents as indicated by their birth charts.
But freedom depends upon the type of governing authority. It can wield power which is liberal and democratic or repressive and authoritarian.
Aquarian Age democracy
Democracy is government by the people. It’s a form of government in which the people elect representatives to make decisions, policies, laws, etc; and representative democracy, with all its faults, is the best political system for the Aquarian Age.
It gives some assurance that humanity will go where the combined intelligence and ability of its individual members takes it. It permits citizens to participate in making laws and public policies by regularly choosing their leaders and by voting in assemblies or referenda.
It’s a theory that democracy is a force for good. That stable freedom respecting democracies are much less likely to go to war and harbor terrorists and are generally easier to trade with and more inclined to cooperate when solving shared problems.
Democracy implies no central autocratic authority which makes overall plans as to how objectives may be most effectively achieved and it has the power to force individuals and groups to follow the activities called for by these plans.
It signifies individual liberty and the privilege of engaging in the work or business of your own choice; and the privilege of people to form into groups which work for the special interests of the group.
But in the Sun section of the Aquarian Age democracy aka government by the people is under serious threat.
Autocrats and large numbers of the power crowd hate democracy. They argue that when it comes to making decisions that government is the problem.
Authoritarian dictators exclude people from the democratic process. Totalitarian forms of government repress the freedoms that Aquarius stands for.
And presidents and prime ministers who erode norms and institutions – checks and balances – erode the quality of government.
The Sun section of the Aquarian Age showcases imperialism, great powers, authoritarianism, political power, militarism, patriotism, nationalism and egomania.
It scripts a battle for domination and the urge for political, economic and technological domination inspires aggression. So, there are intense geopolitical and economic tensions between the great power rivals.
America vs China
America is the dominant world power economically, militarily and technologically but China is positioning itself to take over the world.
Global power comes with internal collaboration, cooperation, cohesion, and solidarity. It requires a nation to project power beyond its own borders and that’s what America and China are doing.
But China is expanding its military operations in the South China Sea and targeting countries that it perceives as unfriendly; and it’s a development that has ignited widespread anti-China sentiment around the globe.
America and China are engaged in a quest for world domination that involves two diametrically opposed value systems – democracy and authoritarianism – and in America recently a new age form of authoritarianism emerged.
China is an authoritarian regime. Its 1.4 billion citizens have some freedoms but they don’t have the freedom to elect their leader. They can elect deputies to the two lowest people’s congresses, representing towns and provinces and they vote for deputies in the higher congresses, including the National People’s Congress.
The people have no say in determining their own future. The New China Empire doesn’t play by the rules of democracy or human rights.
Russia’s invasion of Ukraine indicates strong imperialistic tendencies. The European Union is on high alert but Russia’s war effort has cost it dearly in man power and economically. It’s an autocracy and while elections are held, they do not genuinely reflect the popular will.
In the Sun section of the Aquarian Age humanity’s mode of governance is the chief issue: Representative democracy or authoritarianism.
They can’t persist side by side. The world is politically divided. Sooner or later the world will adopt a single governmental standard. And the only way the world can escape servitude to China or some other authoritarian regime is by recognizing and cooperatively upholding the principle of equal opportunities and individual liberties which is the signature theme of Aquarius.
In the Sun section of the Aquarian Age one political system of government will dominate the world, but the battle is also about economic and technological superiority.
By 2188 after much strife and struggle one general form of government will be the dominant political force of the globe.
