Mathew Perry was an American-Canadian actor who gained international fame starring as Chandler Bing on the NBC television sitcom Friends.
He died at his Los Angeles home on October 28, 2023 and a post-mortem examination later found a high concentration of ketamine (Neptune) in his blood and determined the ‘acute effects’ of the controlled substance had killed him.
Ketamine – a powerful anaesthetic – is used as a treatment for depression, anxiety and pain and after his death people close to Perry told a coroner’s investigation that he was undergoing ketamine infusion therapy.
